You Can Start Again 3:48

There’s a bike lying in the driveway,
Wasn’t all that long ago.
See the little girl there cryin;
Is it someone that you know?
You may suffer cuts and bruises
On the way to where you’ve been.
You may have to learn to fall
So you can start again.

He gave his word; you gave your heart.
Each was broken by the other.
Just one more chance; a brand new start.
How many times you run for cover.
And you try to live with the excuses,
And you lie to yourself once again.
It’s a cry for help; you can’t refuse it,
But there’s something you know you can’t defend.

There’s a bike lying in the driveway,
Wasn’t all that long ago.
See the little girl there cryin;
Is it someone that you know?
You may suffer cuts and bruises
On the way to where you’ve been.
You may have to learn to fall
So you can start again.

I know you’re scared to be that strong,
To walk away when someone’s fallin’.
You feel the pain; it feels so wrong
To pretend not to hear them callin’.
You go back in time to take a picture
Of a memory that you left on the shelf.
In that moment, you put it all together,
‘Cause you can’t help someone
Until they help themselves.

There’s a bike lying in the driveway,
Wasn’t all that long ago.
See the little girl there cryin;
Is it someone that you know?
You may suffer cuts and bruises
On the way to where you’ve been.
You may have to learn to fall
So you can start again.

There’s a bike lying in the driveway,
Wasn’t all that long ago.
See the little girl there cryin;
Is it someone that you know?
You may suffer cuts and bruises
On the way to where you’ve been.
You may have to learn to fall
So you can start again.
Gonna start again.
Gonna put it all together.
